What this page covers

This privacy policy explains how information may be handled when you use the LetsDefend Infosec website and submit an enquiry through one of our forms.

Information you provide

The contact form asks for your name, work email, organisation, a subject, and your message, so that an enquiry can be understood and responded to.

The "Talk to an expert" form asks for the same core details, plus a few optional fields that help us prepare for a more specific conversation: your job title, phone number, organisation size, the service you're interested in, your preferred contact method, and your expected timeline.

Please do not include passwords, confidential credentials, or sensitive personal information in either form.

How information is used

Information submitted through either form is stored so that our team can review and respond to your request, and to understand the context of a potential engagement. It is not intended for unrelated marketing or resale.

Sending a notification email about a new enquiry to our team, and delivering that email, both rely on our hosting provider's infrastructure and our email-sending provider. Neither is given access beyond what's needed to store your submission or deliver that one notification.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses a small number of strictly functional cookies and browser-storage values — no advertising or analytics tracking:

• Session cookie — keeps form state (like validation errors) working across a page reload after you submit a form. Expires when your session ends.
• Internal navigation cookie (letsdefend-internal-nav) — a short-lived marker set right before an in-site link/form navigation, used only to skip showing the loading splash twice in a row. Cleared immediately on arrival.
• Theme preference (localStorage, key letsdefend-theme) — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Stays on your device until you clear site data; never sent to our servers.
• Display-scaling baseline (sessionStorage, key ld-base-dpr) — a technical value used only to avoid false positives in a page-integrity check. Cleared when the browser tab closes; never sent to our servers.

Third-party content

The contact page embeds a Google Maps view of our office location. Loading that embed means your browser makes a request directly to Google, which is subject to Google's own privacy policy — we do not control what Google does with that request.

Data retention and deletion

Stored enquiries and "Talk to an expert" requests are kept as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your request. If a specific retention period is configured, records are automatically removed once they exceed it. You can ask us to review, correct, or delete information connected to a submission at any time — use the contact page and describe your request; we'll respond directly.
